Lena, a vocalist of GWSN, has teamed up with British pop star Jack Walton for the single “We Need a Change [feat. Se-Hwang Kim]” set for release today Jan. 18.
GWSN, which stands for Gongwon Sonyeo, is the latest girl group formed by Kiwi Media Group, helmed by star producer Kim Hyung-suk. The seven-piece act debuted in September last year with EP “The Park in the Night Part One.” Singer-songwriter Jack Walton is known for his appearance on Britain’s “The X-Factor.”
The ‘We need a change’ single features a mixture of Latin jazz and electronic catchy toe-tapping music produced by Kpop producer Hosuk Ryu of SL.P, co-produced by London based songwriter, producer Lyn Goddard from The House of Nanchang and Monica Lee from FRONTROW and English producer Ben Keen and Jungsu Peacedelic Han from Kiwi Media took the lead for the up beat. With earnest lyrics and stunning vocal delivery, Jack weaves a story set against a backｄrop of contemporary production.
“I am honored to take part in a global collaborative campaign that delivers a positive message with many great artists,” said Lena. “We would like to promote GWSN in Korea and overseas through this opportunity.”
The single was unveiled globally at 6 PM. on Jan. 18 today via streaming sites, including Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, Melon, Bugs Music, Genie and etc.
